DR SIDD SARMAH
MBBS, MRCGP, DFRSH, FRACGP – DIRECTOR / GENERAL PRACTITIONER
Sidd Sarmah trained in general practice and emergency medicine in the UK going on to complete his membership from the Royal College of General Practitioners. He has also been heavily involved with teaching and training of medical students and registrars in the UK. A doctor with an entrepreneurial mind, he has started and successfully managed general practice clinics in the UK. He and his young family immigrated to Australia in search of newer pastures and settled in the “sunshine state” of Queensland.
He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been actively involved in developing and delivering quality medicine through his clinics.
He has a special interest in skin cancer and musculoskeletal medicine and has been actively involved in setting up clinics for the diagnosis and treatment of snoring and Sleep Apnoea in the community.
He is heading the team at QMC as a director with the aim of developing the practices into a hub which can cater fully to the needs of the local community. His vision is to develop a model of general practice which is accessible by one and all and provides a world class service comparable to the best models of family medicine.

DR SELVA BALAKRISHNAN

Dr Selva graduated from Jakarta University with his medical degree and spent 13 years practicing in general medicine as well as plastic reconstructive surgery and general surgery before finding his passion in family medicine. In recent years, Dr Selva completed his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and relocated to the beautiful Australia.
Since moving to Australia, Dr Selva has joined the team of hard working Doctors at Queensland Medical Centres and has enjoyed getting to know and consulting with the patients of our clinic. Dr Selva enjoys continuing his knowledge and training by attending various seminars and workshops in his spare time. As well as family medicine, Dr Selva has a keen interest in the areas of Chronic Disease Management, Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Men’s Health and Minor Surgeries.

DR ALI AFRASIABI

Dr Ali is a caring and dynamic General Practitioner who has decided to offer his services to the community of Forest Lake and surrounding areas. He is a doctor with many years of experience having worked with rural communities near Beaudesert. He has completed his FRACGP from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis and management and has completed diplomas in skin cancer medicine and dermatoscopy from the Skin Cancer Australian College.
Besides experience in skin, he is a skilled general practitioner with a very open consultation style and loves to spend time with his patients and involve them in his decision making process.
He is now available full time to the patients of our clinic and we are proud to be able to provide his services.

Dr Irvy Etta is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has interests in Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine, Chronic Disease Management, Women’s Health, Child Health, Men’s Health and mental health.
She is also interested in any health issues which concern the patient as she believes in holistic patient care. She is passionate about patient care and works hard to ensure patients get the best care possible.
Outside of work, she enjoys family time and is interested in myriad activities including art, literature, culinary and physical activities as well as mentoring.
She speaks fluent English and basic French and looks forward to meeting all patients.

He trained as a specialist in General Internal Medicine in England and is a Member of Royal College of Physicians Of London.
He also completed his General Practice Training in the UK .He is a active member of Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK .
He decided to emigrate to Australia to look for new challenges and has acquired Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General practitioners in Australia.
He has acquired a Diploma in Obstetrics and gynaecology from Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has also been awarded a diploma in Clinical dermatology from the prestigious Queen Mary’s University of London .
His Special interests include General Internal Medicine, Elderly care Medicine, Dermatology, and Mental Health.
He looks forward to providing his services to the community in Forest Lake and surrounding areas.
JORGE LOPEZ
PSYCHOLOGIST
Jorge Lopez (BA Psych (Hons), MHS (Hons)) is a fully registered Psychologist with the Australian Psychological Association and an accredited Medicare Provider, with over 20 years’ experience in providing quality counselling and support within private, government and community settings in Queensland.
At Queensland Medical Centres, he consults with adolescents over the age of 16 and bulk-bills patients who have a valid Medicare card and Mental Health Care Plan from their GP.
He has helped numerous people achieve lasting change and improved quality of life on issues ranging from loss, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma, disability, vision impairment/blindness, relationships, addiction, and the challenges of personal growth. Jorge uses a variety of counselling methods including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Relationship Counselling, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, for both assessment and treatment purposes, and maintains a strong emphasis on the use of personal insight, improved communication, and emotion management to promote the development of longterm coping strategies.
Additional areas of expertise include significant experience regarding adjustment to vision loss and monocular vision, and the provision of culturally sensitive psychological assessment and intervention.

SAV MANOLIS (Dietitian)
An accredited practicing Dietitian with the Dietitians Association of Australia and is employed by EP Dietetics. He has completed a Bachelor of Health Science Nutrition (QUT) and a Masters Degree in Dietetics at the University of Queensland.
Sav is passionate about food and promoting health through nutrition. He encourages a holistic approach to health with focus on the emotional, physical and environmental factors that influence behaviour. Sav is dedicated to his patient’s needs, conditions and individual goals and is committed to providing nutrition education, realistic advice and planning specific to patient requirements. Having experience with an array of clinical conditions, Sav is particularly interested in weight loss and management, diabetes and exercise, and sports nutrition and will endeavour to work with you, the patient!

DIABETES EDUCATOR
Deb Singh (Diabetes Educator) is our on-site credentialed Diabetic Educator. She has over 20 years’ experience in nursing and 7 years’ experience in teaching. She has travelled extensively overseas, living in Kathmandu (Nepal) for 2 years where she worked in emergency medicine.
Deb has 3 children which means she approaches work and life with a sense of humour and flexibility. Deb is passionate about providing comprehensive diabetes care to patients with an emphasis on self-management and setting realistic goals. Her areas of expertise include everyday aspects of diabetes management, insulin titration, pharmacotherapy, gestational diabetes and diabetes cycle of care participation.
